As part of our commitment to our community, La Capilla Azul provides workshops in art, museography, printmaking, painting, and curating in order to provide methodological, creative, and conceptual tools to students of elementary schools in the Contuy area of Queilen, Chiloé Archipelago.
The objective of the workshops is for students to recognize, in their own work, the value of the different forms of expression and creation that have been a substantial part of their lives and the culture of the Chiloé Archipelago: crafts, art, storytelling, music, seed management, photography, poets, singers, gardening, and coastal carpentry, among others. Our hope is that the 300 families that make up the community will be able to share their work and develop an emotional and creative economy based on what they have done, seen, and experienced for generations.
